Accomodation in Australia can sometimes be rather tricky. Once you've dug deep into your pockets and produced the airfair money to Australia, you might be completely unaware that something else could surprise you, at least thats what i was thinking. It just so happens that your fears, and mine, couldnt be further from the truth. Just because they're all english speaking, doesnt mean a surprise isnt in store when you finally arrive down under.

One of, if not the most popular forms of accomodation is staying at Australian hostels. Because so much of the land down there is untouched and still retains its ruggedness and Australian spirit, people are much more willing to travel around than Americans or those from Western Europe. As long as the rent is cheap and the surrounds are beautiful, Australians will stay there, and to hell with the spartan services with cheap nights. For my wife and I, we didnt much enjoy the idea of 20 people in one room with one toilet and drunken singers staying up till the cows come home, so we decided to reconsider our ways, and come up with an accomodation choice that more resembled OUR way of life.

Parking at Gatwick airport in London, England can be a difficult task to accomplish.  Gatwick airport is very busy.  According to the official Gatwick airport website (www.gatwickairport.com): Gatwick is the busiest single runway airport in the world, the second largest airport in the UK and the seventh busiest international airport in the world. Around 90 airlines operate from Gatwick's two terminals, serving around 200 destinations. If you're planning to park at Gatwick, knowledge of the airport and planning ahead can save you a lot of time, trouble, and money.

Finding an Inn or Suite in London online is now one of the best ways of finding a place to stay on a vacation.  You can easily view, sort, compare, and read about Inns or Suites at your chosen location.  Likewise, you can get a better idea of what kind of place the Inn or Suite is before you actually travel to it and find out it's not what it was advertised to be.

Beachfront vacation rentals are a less expensive and more attractive option to staying in a beachfront hotel. You'll find significant cost savings and better amenities by staying in a beachfront vacation rental rather than a beachfront hotel. One major advantage of staying in a beachfront vacation rental is space.  Rather than having only a single hotel room, a rental provides you with much more living space – usually one or more bedrooms, a kitchen, and some type of family living space (with a couch, television, and so forth).

If you've not yet used the Internet to procure travel reservations and services, you should strongly consider it.  I've found by using the Internet, I can save money on my basic travel needs, find the best deals, and conveniently make all of my arrangements for a trip from one or more web-sites – all from a convenient location such as my office or home.  I've even made on-the-fly arrangements for additional services (such as a hotel room for an unexpected overnight business stay) while on business travel.

We discovered three types of accommodations while traveling in Australia.  The cheapest is camping.  The next least expensive is staying in an Australian hostel.  The third and most expensive method is staying in an Australian hotel.  While you may expect the airfare to Australia to be your largest expense in your Australian adventure, you'll find hotels and resorts can add up quickly to be an equal or greater expense. You may wish to try an Australian hostel or camping instead as cheaper alternatives.
